Ford Taurus Performance Exhausts

About Ford Taurus Performance Exhaust Systems

Optimize the performance of your Ford Taurus with a custom exhaust system from CARiD and claim your place amidst the owners of the hottest cars on the roads. Each of the custom Ford Taurus exhaust systems on sale at CARiD is purposely built to boost performance. This it does by maximizing the flow of exhaust gas and increasing the engine’s capacity to produce more power. The Taurus stock exhaust system is only built to block engine sound and has no capacity to enhance the engine’s performance. Only a Custom exhaust system can do this. The Ford Taurus enjoys some of the toughest exhaust systems ever designed. And they are quite a handful, from the Corsa Sport exhaust system for the Ford Taurus to the MagnaFlow Ford Taurus Street Series exhaust system and Borla Ford Taurus cat back system; you will find an exhaust system that delivers the kind of results you are hoping for.

Replacing your stock exhaust system with any of these exhausts will yield up to 10% more power and torque. Combining the same exhaust system with a performance muffler, header, catalytic converter or exhaust pipe kits from Gibson, Flowmaster, Onki or RBP will add an extra 10-20hp. This means more pulling power for you Taurus and greater acceleration. The exhilarating thrill this gives and the throaty roar of the exhaust is what pushes many Taurus enthusiasts to double the time spent cruising around in their cars. Not that it will have any major impact on your fuel expenses if you do. Quite the contrary, your fuel expenses go down with a Ford Taurus custom exhaust system in place. On average, fuel mileage increases by 1-2mpg, enabling you to drive more miles than before on the same amount of fuel.

Unbridled power and outrageous sound - that's what accompanies each exhaust system we store for you on our digital shelves. Manufactured from the premium materials using the latest technologies, they all are ready to complete the image of your vehicle and give you instant horsepower and torque gains. After an exhaust system is installed, your vehicle will roar like a lion and run like a cheetah. Have doubts? It has been a battle of the ages to make exhaust sound like it should. Having less bends or turns will not only improve the sound but also performance. A custom exhaust is always an option for the race inspired and spirited weekend warriors. Our manufactures offer everything needed to build a custom exhaust to your preference.
The consensus opinion among exhaust flow experts is that any V8 engine will benefit from a dual exhaust system with an H-pipe or X-pipe. H-pipes were first installed to quiet this exhaust noise. As with the H-pipe, an X-pipe also affects the sound of the exhaust. With an X-pipe, the two sides of the exhaust system are merged. The exhaust pressure on both banks is equalized and power is increased at all engine speeds.

"I had the garage that I deal with do the install. They told me that it was a simple install and made to match the Bird. The system looks great on the car. I was concerned that is was going to be too loud. When you first start the car and as you are accelerating, it has a nice throaty sound, but as you get up to speed, the sound quiets right up. Very pleased!"

"I installed the Flowmaster Delta 50 on my 97 Explorer because my old, original muffler had seen better days. What I didn't expect was for my vehicle to have such a noticeable increase in horsepower! I can't say enough about how great it sounds when I'm driving down the highway. It has a nice rumble that's noticeable but not too loud. "

"Mild growl slightly louder than stock was an under statement!! They are really loud and prevent conservation at hi-way speeds. I will wait till I take a high way trip and live with them awhile before I decide to keep them or change them."
