Dodge Custom Hoods

    About Dodge Custom Hoods

Every driver on the lookout for an aftermarket accessory strives to accomplish a certain goal: to improve the exterior of the vehicle or boost its performance. Thanks to its aerodynamic features, the shape of the Dodge custom hoods lets you improve the internal gears’ efficiency. At the same time, these parts also enhance the car’s appearance. Scoop hoods redirect the air flow in a specific way, increasing the efficiency of the fuel consumption of the car. Cowl hoods don’t let the temperature of the internal gears exceed the safe limit. A bulge hood will let you install the aftermarket automotive parts because it expands the space of your engine compartment.

Let’s take a look at the wide range of materials used to produce the Dodge custom hoods. If your primary concern is the safety of the engine, carbon fiber should be the number one solution for you. This material is very durable and highly resistant to impact. It is even used in aerospace engineering. Fiberglass is one of the most flexible materials used for the hood on the aftermarket. If you want to create something unique, this is the solution for you. Last, but not least, stainless steel is an affordable solution that has similar parameters to the OEM equipment.

"This hood relay looks good, it fit perfectly and the company suggest that you put hood pins in, witch is strongly advised by me. Also, unless you beef up the latch area with a little fiberglass like I did, and you will be fine if you use the stock grille. It's heavy enough with the extra fiberglass work to the latch area to work fine, but unless you know about body work and can beef up properly, you should use the pins. All and all, I'm very impressed with the hood out of all the stuff I ordered and have more stuff that I will by from CARiD. And let me say that most of all that CARiD did, it fixed the problem that I had with them. Even if some of the problems with my order were not their fault, they stood by the customer (me) and made things one hundred percent right. I'm going to order more stuff from them, they take care of their customers and have nice stuff and great prices. Thank you, CARiD for your honesty and service to customers. Chris Scott "

"First of all, my hood looks awesome on my '06 Charger. When I say it's a head turner I'm not joking. The SRT8 hood nothing on the RK sport hood. It's the best investment I ever invested in. But the only thing I didn't like was the factory heat shield didn't fit, but overall I love my hood. It changed the whole appearance of the car. Good job."

"I am "VERY" pleased with this product, from the color, to the appearance of my truck with the scoop on, and the comments of my friends who have seen it, also agree that it makes the the truck look very sharp. Just follow the directions supplied with product and you will have no problem installing it. The only concern I would have in the instructions would be the use of "laquer thinner" to clean the hood before installing the scoop. I was told this could damage the paint, so I used varsol to prep the hood and have had no problems. I had this scoop color code painted to my truck and as far as I'm concerned, it is a perfect match.
