Modular Intake Tube with Breather Hose (200-996) by AIRAID®. Finish: None. Intake Pipe Color: Black. Intake Pipe Material: High-Density Polyethylene. Material Used: Polyurethane. Quantity: Sold individually. Includes: 4 Clamps, 2 Couplers. More airflow to your engine will result in better throttle response and more horsepower and torque. This air intake tube can increase airflow to your engine by as much as 400 CFM! It can be installed in minutes and it's compatible with all AIRAID air intake systems and the stock airbox.
Factory air intake systems are a compromise between intake noise, underhood space and engine airflow requirements. Flow is initially restricted by the OEM air filter in the factory airbox, and then airflow is further restricted by the OEM air tube. Factory air inlet tubes have sound baffles and make awkward bends. You can solve part of the problem by installing an AIRAID Modular Intake Tube (MIT).
The AIRAID MIT is computer designed and dyno tested to give your engine less restrictive breathing, incorporating larger diameters and unique bends that can't be duplicated with metal ducts. It "straightens out" the airflow to your engine, increasing it by as much as 400 CFM over the restrictive, stock intake tube. The MIT is made of cross-link, high density polyurethane, which is less affected by engine heat than steel or aluminum tubing.
Each MIT is custom made for the specific application and all are compatible with stock airboxes as well as AIRAID intake systems. They come with quality couplers, stainless steel clamps and everything required for installation, including detailed instructions. And they're backed by AIRAID's "No Hassle" warranty. There are no limitations or fine print here. Simply, if you're ever dissatisfied with the materials, workmanship, or performance of this air intake tube, just send it back... period! You don't have to worry about a proof of purchase or a warranty card. AIRAID air intake systems are warranted for life.
AIRAID® was founded in 1997 when they began developing and manufacturing air intake systems for light trucks and SUVs, utilizing the cotton-gauze filter technology that was available at the time. These systems increased airflow and performance while being easy to install, and sold so well that the company soon realized that another source of filters was necessary. They believed they could produce a better quality filter using new technology and state-of-the-art materials, and so in 2002 the AIRAID Filter Company was formed. Today AIRAID is the recognized leader in air management technology. Extensive research and development has allowed AIRAID to come to market first with high quality products that improve drivability and performance.
