The increase in torque puts Ram’s full-size pickup ahead of Chevy’s and Ford’s diesel offerings. When properly equipped, it can tow a 12,560-lb trailer. Interestingly, the latest generation of the engine is offered on each and every trim level of the truck. That means the off-road-capable Rebel can be had with EcoDiesel power for the first time.

Those who want to get the 2020 Ram 1500 with black treatment from the factory currently have several options. The Black Appearance Group package for the 1500 Rebel is all blacked out for a menacing look. The Night Edition for the Laramie and Big Horn offers a host of monochromatic exterior colors, which together with a dark grille, light surrounds, badging, and tail pipes create a less aggressive appearance. This package is also available for Ram’s 2500 and 3500 Heavy Duty models. The third variant is the Limited Black Edition offered for the homonymous upper trim level of the light-duty pickup truck. It will appeal to buyers who want murdered-out styling – there’s virtually nothing in its exterior painted in other color than black.
