For the 2014 model year, the Model S by Tesla received some significant improvements. An all-wheel drive version of the car with two electric motors instead of one was launched. This model is available only for the P85 grade and has the P85 D nameplate, with the letter “D” designating a dual-motor model. Besides, it features some safety improvements like collision avoidance braking and 360-degree sonar system. For 2015, all-wheel drive variants of other Model S versions are planned. The 2014 Tesla Model S is a large luxury sedan that offers an appealing look, notable power, prompt acceleration, and advanced technologies. Besides, it drives like premium sedans, provides excellent utility and is eco-friendly.

The entry-level version of the 2014 Tesla Model S (with the “60” suffix) uses a single electric motor that is capable of delivering 380 hp and allows the car to reach 60 mph in 5.9 seconds. Like in all other models, it is mated to a single-speed direct-drive transmission. Three variants with an 85-kWh battery and different power output are also available. The S 85 version produces 380 hp too, but it accelerates to 60 mph quicker, in 5.4 seconds, thanks to a more capable power inverter. The most potent P85 D model can deliver incredible 691 hp and reaches 60 mph in 3.2 seconds. The range delivered by the Model S depends on the battery, varying from 208 to 265 miles. There are several ways to recharge the car – from household outlets to the superchargers by Tesla installed nationwide. The time of charging varies significantly – from about 3 days with an 110V outlet up to 3.5 hours with an optional dual-charger system by the automaker.

The 2014 Tesla Model S comes with a number of standard safety features that include traction and stability control, rear-view camera, anti-lock disc brakes, crash sensors ensuring high-voltage disconnect, and a range of air bags. A rear bumper can be augmented with an additional high-strength aluminum framework optionally. The Model S received the highest rating in government tests for overall crash protection. 2014 Tesla Model S Accessories Reviews

My old mats were a tad too worn so I decided to purchase a front set for my Camaro. I opted for the black version with a logo and red premium binding and was quite impressed. Despite the slightly steep price of $175, I must say the value is clearly evident. The mats are significantly larger than the originals. They integrate perfectly with the car's carpet locks, just like the stock ones. Overall, I think they're worth the money.
