Great product and a must have if you are in the market for a prerunner bumper.

I bought this for my 5th Gen 4Runner to supplement the protection above the skid plate. I was thinking of just getting the bumper but the thing has holes everywhere unless you get a winch & light bar. Just know that you'll be disappointed if you don't get those other features because this bumper is manufactured the same whether or not you want those things. I'm psyched about the construction and how sleek and narrow it looks for the 4Runner but now I have to drop another 800 to complete the look. Any suggestions are welcome to fill the recessed area where the winch would go.

I purchased my first bumper to replace my factory one after it was damaged in an accident. After a few months, I noticed the welds started to rust on the surface. A replacement was ordered and the first one was returned. Just tightening screws on the new one chipped the powder coating which started to rust. I contacted Westin again and they sent me a can of touch up paint. Now the entire edge on the top of the bumper under the tailgate is starting to chip and rust. The bumper isn’t even a year old and I’m expected to keep touching it up!!

Quality control inspections are seriously lacking. Poor weld quality and hooks on front welded crooked as well as overall quality not what was expected from a mid price point bumper.
