The Pursuit carrier is as strong as its name, with the ability to carry up to 2, or up to 3 bikes. It combines capability with safe, secure bike transport and ease of mounting. Installation is a snap thanks to the hub mounting system. It allows you to quickly adjust the rack to suit the shape of most trunks and hatches, and also allows the carrier to be folded flat when not in use, for convenient storage. The Backbone is equipped with soft, cushioned pads so it won’t damage the finish on the trunk or hatch. Once it’s adjusted, the carrier is securely attached to the vehicle with 6 sturdy adjustable straps, with coated hooks to prevent damage.
The bike frames are supported on 2 support arms in soft, rubber anti-sway cradles, that securely hold the bike without damaging the top tube or marring the paint, and prevent bike-to-bike, and bike-to-vehicle contact. Soft rubber straps secure the frame to the cradles. It’s backed by a limited lifetime warranty, which applies to the original purchaser of the product, and warrants the product against manufacturer’s defects in materials or workmanship.
