A cylinder head is one of the most complex parts of a four-stroke engine. Depending on the motor type (OHC or OHV), the head includes all or most components of the valvetrain and serves as a foundation for spark plugs and fuel injectors. Intake and exhaust manifolds are also attached to the cylinder head.
