Reese Explore Roof Racks

It fits well on my OEM roof rack, it can be snugged down to where there is no movement from under load. I have used them 7 times now to haul kayaks. After 2 uses, the rubber coating on the lower brackets started separating from the metal, after 7 uses, the rubber has been completely torn off, I used washers to try to preserve them, it helped, but only a little. The straps are also too soft and have already begun to fray where the release bites at. My solution was to add washers to strengthen the grip of plastic coated knobs, I used flex seal to recoat the lower brackets, and I use my own, thicker straps. They will do the job for a decent price, I just wish the accessory components were build a little better.
