The Porsche 356 is considered the very first Porsche model, released in 1948 in Europe and designed by Ferry Porsche in an obvious attempt to save the company in the post-war crisis. And he succeeded. This luxury sports vehicle, with its rear-engine layout, had an advantageous idea behind its “identity” - namely, it was lightweight and sufficiently powerful. Innovations were, of course, implemented throughout the production period, leading to a nomenclature of names like Type A, B, “Speedster” (a Californian legend of the 50's!), “Roadster”, “Continental” etc. It is interesting that the original idea for the U.S. market was an open-top with a low windscreen, but after experimenting with both coupe and cabriolet body styles, in the 1960s hardtops eventually won out.
If you are a proud owner of the Porsche 356, you definitely know what reliability is and how little it sometimes requires. In search of Porsche 356 engine parts? Our store is helpful, offering aftermarket products of the highest quality. Manufacturers like Kraftwerks are known for pulleys and chargers, Hayden oil filter kits and coolers are among the favorites, and gaskets are produced by Professional Products and Bosch. Timing components for the model are supplied by Mahle, and of course, Royal Purple premium oil is also available here.
