Since the Laser was the result of joint efforts of two companies, it had a sibling marketed under the Mitsubishi badge and called the Eclipse. In addition, there was the third sister called the Eagle Talon and offered by another Chrysler’s subsidiary. The Talon and Laser had slightly different price tags and equipment; the Laser featured a lower trim level. As for the engine, the vehicle received the Mitsubishi's four-cylinder motor, 1.8L or 2.0L.
