The first 504 model was presented by the French automobile manufacturer at the Paris Motor Show in 1968. A year later, the Peugeot 504 became the best European car. This D-class sedan was equipped with a large sunroof, 4-cylinder gasoline engine, and 4-speed manual transmission (a 3-speed automatic transmission was optional). In 1969, Peugeot added a new 2-door coupe and a 2-door convertible to the lineup. This rear-wheel drive model came with a longitudinally mounted engine to achieve a lower hood line. The Peugeot 504 provided good ride quality, high performance, and great maneuverability. The vehicle’s reliability was repeatedly tested and proved in the harsh African, Australian, and Asian road conditions.

The first emission control devices appeared in the 1960s, installed on vehicles optionally. In 1968, when emissions from internal combustion engines were considered a major source of pollution, the PCV (positive crankcase ventilation) became standard. Later automakers began using evaporative emission control systems, exhaust gas recirculation, and catalytic converters. Our store offers various Peugeot 504 emission control parts, which are used to reduce the concentration of nitrogen oxides, carbon monoxide, and hydrocarbons in exhaust gases.
