Hi, the surface finish is carbon fiber. Carbon fiber is usually left unpainted to show off the material. You are not required to paint it. The wing blade installs on pistons like your original OE wing. If you have experience working on cars you may feel confident performing the install yourself. If not, we suggest professional installation.
