The Original® is a low-profile suspension seat designed with four gusseted vertical tabs for mounting. At the request of their family-oriented customers and the Sand Car manufacturers, they were asked to bring back their "Original” suspension seat for recreational sand buggies and sand rails. They agreed, but first this versatile seat had to undergo a few design changes as the sand cars of today are much faster than in 1970 when the first Original® was introduced. In order to provide a seat that can endure the rigors of the extreme sand market, they started by strengthening the four vertical mounting tabs and integrating these key structural components into the seat frame. MasterCraft then modified the seat design to allow more room in the hip area as an extra measure of comfort and during extreme runs in Glamis or Dumont Dunes. With available "creature comfort” options such as seat heaters, lumbar support, seat pockets and Camelbak™ pouches, the MasterCraft Original® provides unparalleled options perfect for sand sports.
