Then bore it out and stroke it to make it a true 400 cubic inch engine. As part of these engineered improvements Chevrolet Performance upgrade the rods, pistons, cams, fasteners and much, much more. Built with power adders in mind and set the compression ratio at 9.5 to 1. Also install Powerstorm billet oil pump gears to address a common failure on these engines, shattering of the weak pot metal stock oil pump gears. With all the upgrades this engine capable of handing well over 850 hp with no problems.
