Warranty

What is covered - K-Metal products are protected by a 1-year warranty on replacement headlights, side mirrors, plastic and steel bumper covers, fenders, hoods, grilles and other automotive and truck replacement parts. K-Metal warrants its parts to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for as long as the original purchaser owns the vehicle on which the part is installed. The warranty includes perforation (metal rust-through) due to corrosion in normal use.

What is not covered - Because this warranty extends to defects in materials and workmanship, it does not apply to normal worn parts, damage resulting from road hazards, debris, gravel, adjustments or damage caused by misuse, neglect, improper installation, lack of maintenance, abnormal operation, accident, conditions that cause failure to the vehicle’s warning devices, removal or alteration of the parts. Warranty does not include costs associated with part removal, installation, inconvenience or consequential damages. This warranty does not apply to fleet or commercial vehicles.

All incidental or consequential damages are excluded from this warranty. Some states do not allow exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you.

Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act:

Saved a Bundle

K-Metal® 6172638 - Driver Side Power View Mirror (Non-Heated, Foldaway)

I was quoted a price of $350 for this part by my dealer and most shops around me quoted prices the same or just slightly lower. I was also looking at another $300 in labor and painting. I waited months with a broken but still partly functional mirror before finding this site, even with the added duty and shipping cost I saved a ton installing this part myself. It was only a single screw and 3 bolts. A grand total of 10 mins and the new mirror was installed and working. I even saved the cost of painting as the only part of this that's "painted" is a small bit of plastic I was able to remove from my original part and snap onto my replacement.

Item was delivered promptly, installation was done by my local shop- saved me $50 or so from them buying one for me. Next time my mirror gets knocked off, I'll go back to you again in a minute!
