Ultra-Tail™ Tailshaft Housing by J.W. Performance®. An excellent upgrade to any powerglide transmission, the Ultra-Tail is greatly improved over the OEM tailhousing. Cast from T6 aluminum the Ultra-Tail is greatly strengthened throughout, especially in the mount area. All Ultra-Tail tailhousings
include a needle bearing in the rear to reduce drag. Designed primarily for competition use the Ultra-Tail does not have a provision for a speedometer. It is recommended to utilize a hardened driveshaft yoke with the Ultra-Tail.
