Idle Air Control Valve by Hitachi®. With Gasket. This idle control valve will allow your engine to idle smoothly, adjusting the idle speed when you are driving. Designed utilizing advanced technologies and quality materials, it will ensure reliable and durable performance.
Controlled by the engine computer, the Idle Air Control (IAC) valve regulates the engine’s idle speed. It supplies auxiliary air to the air intake pipe bypassing the throttle body. It contains a solenoid that restricts the air flow through the device's body. Information about temperature and engine load is transmitted to the engine computer, which determines how far the valve should be opened or closed. More air equals higher idle speed. Although idle air control valves are usually durable, they can become clogged, jammed, or the solenoid can fail. A malfunctioning IAC valve can make the engine idle rough and stall. If you are in need of a quality IAC valve, you can't do better than Hitachi as it is a trusted OE manufacturer known for its dedication to excellence. This idle air control valve will stabilize the engine’s idle speed, thereby restoring optimal performance of your vehicle.
