The second-generation Chevrolet Camaro was introduced in 1970 at the same time as its sister car, the second-generation Pontiac Firebird. The engine range kicked off with the 4.1-liter six-cylinder, and expanded to a 6.6-liter V8. Changes were minor for a couple of years, apart from a reduction in performance due to emissions legislation strangling power outputs. A 1972 labour strike almost killed off both the Chevrolet Camaro and the Pontiac Firebird., then in 1975 the high-performance Z28 was killed off due to smog laws. Trim and bumper changes followed over the next couple of years, then the Z28 reappeared in 1977. Visual tweaks continued inside and out over the next couple of years, then in 1980 the old six-cylinder engine was replaced by w 3.8-liter V6. The second-generation Chevrolet Camaro was killed off in 1981. Haynes Manuals Chevrolet Camaro repair manual is here to help you through every stage of servicing or fixing your car.
