This filter is designed to protect fuel system components, such as injection pumps and injectors, from damaging contaminants, including water, bacteria, non-combustible materials, wax, and tar-like contaminants. It's pressure tested to ensure long-lasting and reliable operation.

Dirty fuel is a fact of life. It can include water, bacteria, non-combustible materials, wax, and tar-like contaminants that cause serious and costly damage to the engine. For example, water destroys the lubricative properties of your fuel damaging fuel system components and resulting in fuel flow stoppage at cold temperatures. This fuel filter will prevent any dust, dirt, and abrasives from entering your engine and fuel system protecting them from damage. Providing superior protection to the fuel system, the filter extends the service life of its components and improves performance of the whole system. To ensure this fuel filter meets OE specifications, the manufacturer tested it according to SAE J905 test procedures that are the industry standard for fuel filtration.

Warranty

Hastings Premium Filters (“Hastings”) warrants that each new product manufactured by Hastings will be made free of defects in workmanship and material. Hastings will replace any product found to be defective when you return it to Hastings or to your Hastings distributor where you purchased the product.

Warranty Fulfillment. If Hastings finds that a returned product does not meet the warranty stated above, Hastings will promptly replace the defective product. If the defective product directly caused damage to the machine on which it was installed, Hastings will promptly reimburse the machine owner for that portion of the repair costs that were necessary to restore the machine to its condition immediately prior to the damage caused by the defective product.

Conditions. Hastings’s warranty fulfillment obligations above do not apply if:

the product is not returned to Hastings for analysis
Hastings finds that the product was not defective
the product was improperly installed or used
the product was reused or not replaced inside a normal service interval
the product is tampered with or damaged in a manner that may inhibit Hastings’ ability to conduct a warranty investigation

The above warranty and warranty fulfillment obligations are exclusive and in lieu of all other warranties or related remedies. Hastings is not liable for indirect, incidental, punitive or consequential damages arising in any way from the products it manufactures or sells.
