Ford Ranger Camshafts

The Ford Ranger, in its American version, first appeared on offer in 1983; by 1987, it became the dominant compact pickup truck on the market. The reasons for that are simple: with its dimensions, it perfectly met the demands of its market segment, while its capability was higher than initially expected. Mechanically similar to the full-size F-Series, it came both as a rear-wheel and 4-wheel drive vehicle, and there were nice options as for the powertrain. The 2.0 and 2.3-liter OHC I4 engines were also available besides the 2.8L V6. Over the years, the latter grew in size up to 4.0 liter. The second generation came in 1992. These Ranger models, with a longer wheelbase, wider doors and generally enhanced design, actually continued the original idea of efficiency and practicality. The engines on the 90's and 00's models boast of higher output: with V6s, it is estimated at 145 to 160 hp.
