Comp™ Tuner (30301) by Edge®. Power Level 1: 40 hp & 150 lb-ft. Power Level 2: 60 hp & 200 lb-ft. Power Level 3: 80 hp & 250 lb-ft. Power Level 4: 100 hp & 300 lb-ft. Power Level 5: 120 hp & 350 lb-ft. This controller mounts inside the cab to provide an easy selection of increased fuel economy, or increased power. Users have a choice of five power levels from high economy to maximum muscle. On each level, five sub-variations of throttle response can be chosen from quickest to most gradual in order to minimize diesel exhaust smoke no matter what additional power modifications have been made to the engine.

With the high cost of diesel fuel today, it’s worth your while to maximize every drop when you need higher levels of performance or better fuel economy for your truck. After plugging into your OBD II port, the Edge Comp maximizes engine efficiency by monitoring ongoing engine RPMs, timing, turbo boost pressure and fueling parameters. The module uses this information to determine and control both fueling and timing enhancements for the Bosch fuel injection pump. The Edge Comp features five power levels with power gains from 40-120 horsepower. Each of the five power levels has an independent five-level adjustable responsiveness setting, providing for a total of 25 levels of adjustability. The responsiveness settings enable you to dial-in your preferred balance of quick response or low-boost smoke control, no matter what additional power modifications have been made to the engine. The Comp module is fully adjustable on the fly and mounts inside the cab.
Factory engineers created your vehicle to operate under the extremes of a wide variety of conditions, but ultimately settled on one range of midrange settings to satisfy the everyday driving needs of most vehicle owners. Because those common denominator algorithms do not maximize any specific performance category, the Comp simply adjusts factory settings to get the most out of your engine’s natural abilities. On sub-levels 1 through 3, “defueling” mode occurs when RPMs and turbo boost are below pre-determined levels to limit the rate of fueling increase below factory stock levels. Not only does this increase fuel economy, it reduces tailpipe smoke by a huge amount under acceleration and cruising conditions. Defueling mode is entered most gradually on sub-level 1 to provide the smoothest level of transition that won’t be noticed while driving. Sub-levels 4 and 5 adjust fuel pressure above factory OEM levels dependent on boost level for quicker response - sub-level 5 adds the most fuel at low boost.
Headquartered in Odgen, Utah, Edge® was founded in 1999 by engineers that specialized in performance electronics for diesel trucks.
