Finish: Satin

Features

  • Fabled high-performance appearance
  • Improved air and fuel flow
  • Increases power output and vehicle performance
  • Lighter than cast-iron factory intake manifolds
  • Available for all popular V8 engines
  • Carburetors not included

Multiple carburetor intake manifolds first appeared in numbers on V8 engines in the 1950s. The carburetors of the day were small, and installing multiple carburetors in Tripower (3 two-barrels) or Dual-Quad (2 four-barrels) configurations was a way to increase air and fuel flow into the cylinders and make more power. Gradually, as carburetor and intake manifold technology improved, newer single four-barrel carburetors and intake manifolds surpassed multi-carb setups and they were discontinued by vehicle manufacturers. But while dual-quads are no longer state-of-the-art, and many who are only concerned with performance will opt for the less complex and easier to tune single four-barrel carb/intake, no one questions the presence of dual quads and the impression they make when you pop the hood on cruise night or down at the drive-in.

No company is more steeped in automotive history than Edelbrock, and they know that for many enthusiasts image is just as important as horsepower numbers. That’s why they offer the many dual-quad intake manifolds you see on this page. But make no mistake, these intakes are more than just nostalgia trips, every one includes the superior induction technology that Edelbrock has developed through many years of design and testing. They feature larger plenums and runners that are sized and contoured for better flow, so your engine can take full advantage of those 2 four-barrels and make more power. Edelbrock also gives you a choice of finish – traditional satin, gleaming polished, and if you really want to wow them, Endurashine. Endurashine is super bright and durable, thanks to its 3 step base coat, aluminum coat, and clear coat finish that is abrasion and chemical resistant.

Edelbrock has several styles of aluminum intake manifolds to fit different applications. Each style of manifold has characteristics that make it ideal for the application for which it is intended. Years of design and testing in the area of induction technology have given the Edelbrock team invaluable insights into which characteristics work best under what conditions. For the ultimate in quality, every Edelbrock manifold is cast at the ultramodern Edelbrock Aluminum Foundry and machined on computerized machining centers at Edelbrock headquarters.

Edelbrock® Corporation has seven locations: four in Torrance and three in San Jacinto, California, totaling to over 500,000 square feet. Torrance headquarters include R&D, manufacturing, state-of-the-art testing facilities, advertising, and tech support. The company's Aluminum Foundries are located close by in San Jacinto. In 2008, they added a new Permanent Mold and Heat Treat facility next to the existing sand cast foundry, which has been called "the most state-of-the-art sand cast foundry west of the Mississippi." This investment in American facilities is part of Edelbrock's commitment to "Made in USA" products and performance.
