Question:
Dorman® - HELP™ Engine Oil Drain Plug with Gasket
Will this plug work with the OEM oil pan for a proper seal & fit? The oem plug has a slight ridge where the plug gasket sits & is near the pan edge. How wide is the pan seal plug? Will it seal properly if it extends beyond the pan edge ??

Hi, we checked with Dorman and the best we can tell you is that this is a universal replacement drain plug, designed to be tightened in a way similar to a "molly" put through a hole in sheetrock or wallboard. We do not see a reason this will not work on your car, although keep in mind that it can never be as secure as the OE plug.
