Overall, I like this trailer hitch. I installed it in about 3 hours by myself on a 2017 Ford Escape without the automatic lift gate. Long story short, having and using the correct tools makes a huge difference in the install time. I used a Dremel tool with cut off wheels to widen the holes that I had to pass the bolts through, which was a mistake. It took approximately 1.5 hours and 15 cut off wheels to widen the holes enough to pass the bolts through. A die grinder with a grinding wheel would have made the install a lot easier. I had no issues with fishing the bolts through the holes but without a helper, I did struggle to get the hitch raised up and the bolts through. My only other issue, which I read in other reviews across multiple sites, was not being able to properly torque the bolt on the passenger side closer to the front of the vehicle. Otherwise the install went very smooth and I'm very impressed with it. I have not towed anything yet, as I only recently installed the wiring. I have no doubt that it will hold up well over the years.

Super nice looking hitch, only see the receiver part once installed. But was a bear to install.
