V-Series Crankshaft Main Bearing Set by Clevite®. These parts essentially duplicate the former Vandervell parts under the Clevite part numbering system. (Same core part no. as standard passenger car parts but with a suffix letter "V"). V-Series rod bearings typically have low to medium eccentricity and a hardened steel back. All V-Series main sets use a single piece thrust bearing rather than the former Vandervell assembled type of construction. V-Series parts are not available with oversize chamfers

Extra clearance parts are available with a suffix VX (.001" extra clearance), and VXX (.002" extra clearance) for some applications. V-Series bearings do not have flash plating on the steel back. Narrowed parts are available with a VN suffix for some applications. These are made to accommodate increased crankshaft fillet clearance. The chief difference between the V-Series and other Clevite TriMetal bearings is the use of lead-indium overlay. Use V-Series bearings if prior experience has shown a preference for the lead-indium type of overlay. Warranty

All new water pumps, oil pumps and turbochargers are warranted to be free from defects in original materials and workmanship under normal use and service for a period of one (1) year from the date of purchase, 100,000 miles or 3600 hours whichever occurs first. All other sold and their affiliates are warranted to be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal use and service for two (2) years from the date of purchase, 200,000 miles, or 7,200 hours, whichever occurs first. Clevite “Premium Plus” parts are warranted for three (3) years from the date of purchase, 300,000 miles, or 10,800 hours, whichever occurs first.

For “Premium Plus” parts only, following expiration of the initial time period defined above, Clevite will provide replacement of only the Clevite brand parts involved in the event of a warranty failure until a total of three (3) years from the date of purchase, 300,000 miles, or 10,800 hours, whichever occurs first. The company will not be responsible for any additional repair costs, parts or labor, after expiration of the initial time period.

Clevite is not responsible for failures resulting from owner, operator or third party abuse or neglect including, but not limited to engine operation without adequate lubricant or coolant, over or under-fueling, over-speeding, lack of proper maintenance to cooling, lubrication or air intake systems, improper storage, starting, warm-up, run-in or shutdown procedures or the continued operation of an engine after the first sign of a malfunction.

Clevite is not responsible for failures resulting from improper installation or repair procedures, alteration or the misapplication of parts, or use in engines modified for competition or levels of performance beyond the engine manufacturer original specifications.
