Chrysler Laser Doors

Chrysler’s first sports car, the Laser, was in fact an upscale version of the Daytona. The Laser was manufactured from 1984 to 1986. The vehicle epitomized European luxury and featured a number of styling upgrades not available for its Daytona sibling, such as side skirts, air dams, and spoilers. The model was offered in three trim levels: standard, XE, and XT. XE and XT versions carried a mighty 2.2L Turbo I engine as standard equipment. The Laser featured a sleek and aerodynamic body and a comfortable interior with leather seats. After the discontinuation in 1986, the Laser name was revived in 1989 with the Plymouth Laser, manufactured jointly by Chrysler and Mitsubishi.
