The Chrysler Daytona, a rebadged Dodge Daytona, was produced from 1984 up to 1993. It was a front-wheel drive compact hatchback constructed on the G platform. The base Daytona model was equipped with a 2.2L I4 engine that could develop 93 hp. There also was its turbocharged version with a 142-hp output. For the 1985 model year, the output rate of a 2.2L turbocharged power unit grew to 146 hp. A larger 2.5L I4 that could produce 100 hp was given to Daytona in 1986.
