Extreme Duty Dual Ball Mount
Each adjustable mount includes a 2-ball platform, which fits in the adjustable channel. The 2 hitch balls are welded together onto the solid steel platform for maximum strength and stability.
Signature Black Textured Powder Coat
All BulletProof Hitches feature a durable corrosion resistant powder coat. This process starts off with an aggressive sand blast to remove all impurities and create a clean surface for the powder coat. After the sand blast process the hitch moves through a 5 stage pre-treatment wash to remove any oil or residue. The metal is then sealed to eliminate corrosion. The final step is an application of Bulletproof Hitches signature black textured powder coat which is applied with a Fanuc robot to ensure consistent thickness across the hitch.
CNC Machining
Components of the BulletProof Hitch are machined in house on Bulletproof Hitches state of the art Haas CNC machines. Bulletproof Hitches CNC machines use Renishaw probes which allow Bulletproof Hitches to manufacture all parts to an extremely tight tolerance. This ensures that the hitch and ball combo fit together without slop or excess movement when attached to your vehicle.
Use in Drop & Rise Position
All BulletProof Hitches can be used as a rise or drop hitch by mounting it in the receiver to the position that is needed.
The main purpose of the 2.5" Extreme Duty 4" & 6" Offset Hitch is to be able to use it as both a drop & rise hitch all at once without having to remove it from the receiver and flip it over. The 2.5" solid steel shank is welded toward the center of the C-Channel with a 4" rise on one side & a 6" drop on the other. You can use it with a 6" drop & a 4" rise or vise versus depending on your towing needs.
This Extreme Duty 4" & 6" Offset Hitch has a max towing capacity of 30,000 lbs and a tongue weight capacity of 6,000 lbs in both the drop & rise position.
The Bulletproof Hitches® is the highest quality hitch in the world, allowing any vehicle to tow any trailer at the correct level. The adjustable channel plate is 5/16″ thick and laser cut, the gusset that reinforces the hitch is 1/2″ steel plate, similar to the plate used to armor military vehicles. The combination of these features give the hitch it’s superior rating of up to 36,000lbs. The edges of the steel bar are CNC-chamfered for appearance and functionality, making it easy to install and remove the hitch from any receiver. Some manufacturers use poor quality paint to coat their hitches in order to save money. After a short time the paint will begin to deteriorate and rust will start to show. The BulletProof Hitch features a high quality durable powder coat process that is designed to take years of abuse and yet still look like the day it came out of the box. The BulletProof dual ball is a combination of a 2″ ball rated to 12,000lbs and a 2-5/16″ ball rated up-to 36,000lbs, making it stronger than any other drop hitch available and allowing you to fully utilize the load capacity of your trailer. The hardware that is supplied with the BulletProof Hitch is heat treated for strength and silver zinc plated for superior corrosion resistance. The BulletProof Hitch also has a wide range of attachments such as pintles, recovery shackles, loops and drawbars.
