The AFDI-5V will take a 12V input from aftermarket radios remote turn on and drop the voltage down to 5V this is used in some vehicles that have an amplified sound system the OEM amplifier can use a 12V input to turn on however an audible pop may heard using the AFDI-5V will eliminate that audible pop.

AFDI-5V is an accessory for the following products: XSVI-5520-NAV Non-amplified, non - onstar interface harness that retains accessory power and provides navigation output wires.

OEM Ford radios send only 5 V to the stereo amplifier to turn them on, a signal separate from the amp's 12 V supply current. Problem is, the aftermarket radio has 12 V on that line, far more than is necessary. It won't hurt anything, but it often causes an audible "pop" when the radio is turned on. This simple harness drops the 12 V from the radio to 5 V, quieting the "pop". Just connect one wire to the 12 V radio sense line, one to ground, and the last to the amp's sense line.

Warranty

Axxess warrants its products to be free from defects in materials or workmanship for a period of 90 days. The warranty period begins on the date the product is delivered.

The warranty is granted to the end-user and applies to products which are purchased, installed, and used for the purposes for which they are originally designed. This warranty covers defects arising under normal use and does not cover malfunctions or failures resulting from misuse, abuse, neglect, improper installation, or incorrect maintenance.

During the warranty period, Axxess will repair or replace, at no charge, a product that is defective in materials or workmanship. Axxess reserves the right to either repair or replace a defective component at its discretion and reserves the right to substitute an equivalent product under the terms of this warranty.
