Like any incandescent bulbs, the bulbs in your Auto Meter gauges eventually will eventually burn out. Instead of trying to find generic replacements, get the bulbs designed for your gauges right from Auto Meter. Replacement bulb and socket assembly 168/4.9 Watt is intended for use on 2 1/16” and 2 5/8” gauges with steel cases and some tachometers and speedometers.
Bored with your gauges’ standard white light? Liven things up and customize your dash with red, green, yellow, or blue dash lighting. It’s easy to do with Auto Meter bulb covers. Each kit comes with 3 bulb covers and is intended for use with incandescent bulbs in Auto Meter gauges, speedometers, and most in-dash tachs, except clocks, Air/Fuel Ratio Gauge and Autogage. Covers will not work on digital and LED lit gauges.
Another option for a color change is replacement LED bulbs. These bulbs will not only upgrade your instrument lighting, because they’re long lasting LEDs they’ll be the last bulbs you’ll ever need to buy for your gauges. They’re available in red, green, blue, amber, and white to replace 161, 193, 194, and 168 style wedge base bulbs, and in red, green, blue, and amber to replace the small twist-in light on pedestal tachs and some in-dash tachs. LED replacement bulbs are not designed for use with digital and LED lit gauges.
