ARP Automotive Fasteners & Lubricants
ARP, or Automotive Racing Products, was founded in 1968 by Gary Holzapfel, who had many years of experience designing fasteners for leading aerospace companies. ARP became the first company to engineer fasteners specifically for racing, having developed numerous patented processes for manufacturing high-performance fasteners, and therefore being a single company in the world constructing superior quality fasteners for racing of all forms.
For the experts at ARP, materials, design and manufacturing mean everything. ARP thoroughly controls all production process aspects with all operations performed in-house and monitored closely – thanks to this approach, ARP enjoys the reputation for 'zero defects'. To develop high-strength ARP bolts or studs, the company uses premium grade materials such as SDF and CHQ steel allowing to make defect-free products.
When it comes to engineering, ARP’s key to success is its personnel. Hours of intense work - and highly qualified and experienced engineers, with the help of the latest technologies, create those famous ARP head studs and bolts. ARP studs, bolts, and other products are manufactured using a specially developed technology of transforming a raw material into a fastener – “hot” and “cold” heading processes, heat-treating, centerless grinding that ensures the studs are perfectly concentric, thread rolling, nut forging and tapping, and metal finishing – black oxide coating or polishing. Their manufacturing operations are ISO 9001 and AS9100 certified.
