The company was founded by Yoshio Arai in Tokyo, Japan in 1951 and since then it has been strictly following its mission to produce only the highest grade products. In 1955, the company's founder Yoshio Arai opened and patented the seal’s “Suction Effect.” Arai found out that seals prone to leak oil in standard conditions yet when a secure seal is reached, centripetal forces provide the “suction effect” which enables the seal to suck oil without leaking. The company is also known for the products made of fluoropolymer resin (Arflon) that is molded with the rubber lip tip to decrease the frictional strength of sliding parts and make the products perfect to operate in severe conditions implying rotation at a high speed and lack of lubrication.
Arai Seisakusho seal technologies allow for careful oil control. The company’s valve stem seals provide a controlled leak of oil ensuring the valve stem is lubricated when sliding in the valve guide. The company also fabricates premium synthetic rubber O-rings intended for a broad range of use, top-grade reed valves that prevent spitting inside a gas mixer, and superior sprockets reducing the chain meshing noise. To ensure you can fully trust its products, Arai Seisakusho backs them with numerous certifications. In 1963 the company certified its O-rings and in 1965 - the oil seals. Since 1998 ARS got ISO9001, ISO14001, and ISO/TS16949 certifications. However, ARS doesn’t stop with that and always looks ahead to reach new heights.
