2005 Toyota Highlander Bull Bars

I ordered this bull bar after reading CARiD's product description about how it would protect me in the event I hit an animal. After asking a few friends, and some people that work at custom car shops, I was informed that hitting anything bigger than about 50 pounds- think a large fox (at highway speed) would actually result in more damage to my vehicle than if I didn't have this bar installed, apparently what happens is that the bars bend backwards into the radiator and start breaking things under the hood, and depending on how tight they are screwed and how tough they are they can actually cause frame damage. Service however, was excellent. I wouldn't hesitate to order from CARiD again. I would just do some more research before ordering something next time. However, I'm sure most of the people interested in buying this just want it for looks anyways.
