ZF Friedrichshafen AG acquired the tradition-steeped group of companies comprising Lemfoerder® Metallwaren AG and Lemfoerder Metallwaren J. Ulderup AG & Co, headquartered in the northern German town of Lemfoerder in 1984. The logo with the owl (as well as three tie rods originally) has hardly changed since the Lemfoerder Metallwaren-Gesellschaft mbH was founded in 1947 and is still a guarantee of quality.
