Does Not Match OEM Spec
Karlyn STI® 808 - Spark Plug Wire Set
They look cool, work fine, but are not built correctly. The boots are slightly to long so the covers don't go all the way down. There is a gap between the cover and the valve cover, so water can get into the spark plug hole. That is the purpose of having that piece there, to seal that up. And no, you can't just trim a little off, because the part that snaps onto the plug is set down so far, it is the limiting factor. The wires are also to long, all of them. About a inch to long. Doesn't sound like much but these go through guides all the way and you have to figure out how to route the extra wire at the end somehow, without making it hit any metal. There is a lot of metal to hit, that's why the length is important. What I really don't get is how that can get screwed up. Didn't they take a stock Subaru set and check them before they built these?
