2004 Ford F-150 Door Shells + Skins

My tire blew out during a heavy rainstorm, causing me to smash up my front fender and door to the point where they needed to be replaced. The body shop estimate was way outside of my budget, so I decided to try replacing the door myself. It took about 4 days for the door to arrive after ordering, and I spent roughly 3 hours or so stripping down my original door and hanging the new door on my truck. Everything worked very well. The door and fender do not rub, so I think I did a decent job considering this was my first time doing any sort of "body work." Overall, I am satisfied with the purchase and my decision to take the cheaper route of doing the work myself. I replaced this by myself, and doing so, I ran into some problems which I might have not encountered if I had another helping me. Some tips if you are replacing the door by yourself: 1.) Wear gloves. Your hands will get cut up pretty badly if you don't. 2.) I couldn't get the original hinge pins out, so I just removed hinge bolts from the old door and hung the new door without taking apart the entire hinge. 3.) Use a floor hydraulic jack with a 2x4 or other thick board to lift the door into place. If you are working under rafters, using rope might work to lift the door as well. 4.) Try not to strip the T27 torx bolt coming from the door check. These bolts seem to be hard to come by, and drilling out stripped bolts is not really that much fun.
