Question:
When fixing a front lower ball joint for the 06 RSX Type S, do you truly need to replace the whole knuckle? Acura only seems to sell the ball joint with the knuckle as one, but that's very expensive. 750+ dollars for two balljoints because of this? What would you recommend? Also, if I lower the car an inch with a quality set of aftermarket coilovers (might be able to keep at or very close to stock height), would I have to get extended aftermarket balljoints to correct any geometry issues like bump steer that arise, or would it be ok? I have to hand all of this over to a shop to get it installed and need it to work out. Thank you!

CARiD Answer:
Hello, it appears the ball joint is replaceable for the control arms. https://www.carid.com/2006-acura-rsx-ball-joints/ If you lower the vehicle on coilovers you would not need different ball joints. Generally, when lowering a vehicle it is a good idea to get an alignment afterwards.
