Mercury Capri with Ford 8.0" Series Axle 1975, Trac Loc™ Rear Differential by Yukon Gear & Axle®. Yukon took on this project by looking for ways to make it better. By designing a thicker 1541H billet hat that added more strength, they eliminated the need for clutch guides that tend to break, sending debris into the gears. The top half is made from forged steel for strength and durability. All of 8" and 9" units are assembled with genuine Raybestos clutches for long life. Company offer a "race" version that is built for maximum traction. This configuration tends to chatter when cornering, so if you’re looking for something smoother Yukon Gear also offer a "street" unit that allows excellent traction with smooth, chatter-free cornering.

- This unit requires carrier bearing & race part numbers LM102949 & LM102910. Yukon recommends the use of high grade Non-Synthetic GL-5 gear oil and Yukon LSD (Limited Slip Differential) additive for long life and smooth operation. Part number OILADD. The use of synthetic oil is not recommended and may result in aggressive or noisy operation. This unit requires the use of ring gear bolt part number YSPBLT-014.
