Mercury Voyager 5.1L 1959, Valve by QualCast®. One-piece construction for most applications. These OE spec materials are designed to handle the extreme hostile environment of engines at full operating temperatures. On Heavy Duty applications QualCast also offer bi-metallic construction to gain the best properties of two different OE spec materials for thermal resistance (head) and mechanical resistance (stem and tip). Hard chrome-plated stems where required, to reduce stem wear. Stellited seats where required (denoted by an "S" suffix), to avoid corrosion caused by combustion gases. Welded wafer tips to resist friction of dynamic load. Some tips are also stellited. Assured Quality ISO 9002 and QS9000. All QualCast valves are subjected to rigorous QA inspections both at the manufacturing plants and at QualCast central distribution operation in Nashville, Tennessee, U.S.A.
