The downside to today’s high-tech headlights, with their aerodynamic shapes and LED and projector beam illumination, is the cost to replace them when they break. Just a few decades ago all cars and trucks used standard size sealed beams that were cheap to replace. Today, no matter whether you have aftermarket or factory lights, replacing a light fixture is an expensive proposition. Prevent damage and keep cash in your pocket by installing headlight covers.

Our clear headlight covers come in flexible urethane or high-impact acrylic. Both are custom made for each application, to ensure a perfect fit, and easy, hassle free installation. Whatever make and model you own, you’re sure to find the covers that are right for your vehicle right here on our digital shelves. Along with shielding your lights against impact, headlight covers will also protect your lights from UV rays that can cause headlights to become hazy and yellow, with subsequent reduced illumination. With headlight covers you get protection and safer driving at night and in inclement weather.

You can get protection and a custom appearance with our smoke and custom covers. Like our clear covers, each one is custom designed for the specific application. Smoke covers give your lights a blacked out look that’s a proven hit at shows but may not be legal for road use in your area. Be sure to check local laws before installation. However, since most of these covers snap on or install with clear automotive grade Velcro, they’re easy to remove and install, so you can have the best of both worlds: trophy winning looks when you want them and street legal illumination when you need it.

Besides clear and smoke, our custom headlight covers are available in many other styles. Choose from carbon fiber, flames, and tribal designs. One of our most unique offerings are Projectorz covers that will give any headlight assembly the projector headlight look. These covers are an inexpensive way to give your ride the appearance of custom headlights, and the smoke color can be painted to match your exterior for a look that will make everyone think you spent loads of dough at a custom body shop. Browse our selection to find the headlights covers that perfectly match your sense of style.

Of course, you can’t have custom headlight covers without tail light covers to match. Like their forward facing brethren, our tail light covers are made of tough, impact resistant acrylic, custom molded for each application, easy to install, and available in clear, smoke, carbon fiber and custom designs. Slotted covers allow plenty of tail light to show through between sections of smoked plastic, for a real crowd pleasing appearance when illuminated, and Pro-Beam covers have a unique 3-dimensional appearance that’s available in carbon fiber, flame, platinum and tribal finishes.

Light Covers Can Save Your Expensive Lenses
The next time you are hand-washing your vehicular pride and joy (you DO hand-wash your car or truck, don't you?), take a really good look at the front end. We mean a really good look. Even if your ride is new, it only takes a matter of weeks before daily driving starts to take its toll. And the older your car is, the more you will see it: the effects of sand and other fine yet abrasive particles which have been thrown against the front. It's one thing for the paint to become pitted (and you should consider a car bra for protection). Of greater concern is the damage being done to your headlamps. Not only will the abrasive blast start to dull and pit the lenses, reducing light output - a pebble or small rock flung from a truck tire tread will crack that headlamp assembly and result in a multi-hundred dollar repair bill when all is said and done. Do you live in a winter climate where salt and sand are purposely spread on the road? Figure on twice the damage in half the time.

Go With X-PEL
CARiD offers three different brands of headlight protectors they al all very good quality, they all are custom fit to your specific headlight, they all have a strong adhesive backing but here is where they differ they all have clear transparent headlight protectors I wasn't interested in clear, so I can't say anything on the clear ones. Weathertech only comes in clear so I didn't want those seeing i blacked out my suv I'm sure if you want he clear versions you will be happy with any of them but the dark smoke versions on XPEL and Husky differ in how black they are. If you want to total want to black out your headlight and have little to no illumination go with the Husky but if you want to black out your headlight and have a lot of illumination at night while driving go with the XPEL think of it in sunglasses, Husky's will be a blind persons sunglasses and the XPEL will be a Pair of Oakley polarized dark brown lens that's what you'll see looking at your headlights.
