2007 Jeep Wrangler | Posted by Art | (Ooltewah, TN)

I love the look of these bars. My SO had a hard time climbing into the Jeep and needed some steps. Problems solved and looks great. Now the issue. The packing for shipment was almost none existent. Each bar was wrapped in a single layer of bubble wrap and then the two bars taped together with some packing tape. By the time they got to the destination the bubble wrap was torn and hanging off and the bars had some pretty significant scrapes and marks. I really hated putting them on a new jeep with a foot long scrape down the side, right in front of the drivers door. But the biggest issue was the spacing of the bolt holes in the slider don't quite match the Jeep. The error in dimensions was virtually identical on both sides. This is clearly a fabrication issue as my Rubicon only had 200 miles on it. I had to grind/ream the holes in the mounting brackets in order to get it to fit up. Of course I did not have the right tool with me at the location that I was installing the bars. The brackets are made of some substantial material and took some real effort to open the whole to fit. Again, I really like these bars but be prepared to to do a little alteration to the holes, and maybe a little touch up paint.
