Meet a modified GMC Sonoma owned by Michael W. Collins, Jr. from Danville, Virginia. The new chapter of the truck's life began when Mike's grandparents presented him with the 1997 GMC Sonoma. The truck wasn't the best looking one, still the boy knew exactly what he wanted to do with it. Having parents in the audio business, and being a member of Elite Innovations, he was ready to build the best GMC on the East Coast. Mike and his family were able to customize the truck in mere 2 years.
The family began modifying the body first. They added cowl inducted hood, aftermarket billet grille, Cadillac taillights, and a Gaylord tonneau cover. After the exterior modifications were finished it was time to move the focus to the interior. The seats got new upholstery (gray and burgundy suede), and the floor was dressed up with a gray carpet. The list of improvements also included a new dash (suede with fiberglassed and painted panels) fitted with an 8-inch monitor, Dakota Digital gauges and Nu Image gauge face, Inferno steering wheel, new Boston Acoustics stereo, and some airbrushing. The next thing on the customization list was the paint-job. After all the modifications were finished, the truck got 18'' Alba Karma front wheels and 20'' Alba Karma rear wheels.
