The Shadow employed a number of 4-cylinder power plants ranging from a 2.2 L K I4 to a 2.5 L Turbo I I4, including turbocharged ones. Later, a 3.0 L V6 motor was added instead of turbocharged engines. All motors were mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox, a 3-speed automatic one was available for Shadows with 4-cylinder engines and a 4-speed automatic transmission was offered as an option for models equipped with a V6. The Dodge Shadow was in production until 1994, when it was ceased in favor of the Neon.
