The Dynasty by Dodge is a mid-size 4-door sedan produced between 1988 and 1993. It was the successor of the 600 with conservative and boxy styling constructed on the Chrysler C platform (along with the Chrysler New Yorker). The Dodge Dynasty utilized a 2.5 L inline-4 power plant, a 3.0 L V6, a 6G72 engine (sourced from Mitsubishi), and a 3.3 L EGA V6 motor. The range of transmissions included only automatic gearboxes with 3 and 4 speeds. In 1990, all models of the range were outfitted with driver's side airbags and anti-lock braking system. The Dynasty was discontinued in 1993 being succeeded by the Dodge Intrepid and the Dodge Stratus.
