Original equipment car stereos have greatly improved over the years, but even the premium factory receivers still can’t match the features and audio quality available in the aftermarket, and many vehicles still come with a basic AM/FM radio as standard equipment. If you want to improve the tunes in your ride, you’ve come to the right place. From simple upgrades like CD/MP3 playing capability, to the most sophisticated multimedia players, we have it all.

The brands we carry represent the top names in the business, with decades of car stereo design experience among them, and many of the units we offer have built-in amplifiers and equalizers for exceptional sound quality. The only difficulty you’ll have is deciding which features you want. You may want a basic single DIN receiver that can play CDs and music from your iPod, but a unit like that may also offer many more station presets than the OE receiver.

And if you’d rather access music from your cell phone, we offer receivers that have USB inputs to connect to iPod/iPhone and Android devices, as well as units that can be wirelessly paired with your cell phone, so you can stream music from any audio source. On some receivers you can even share apps with your smart phone. You can access music, photos, your calendar, and navigation all on the receiver’s touch screen. Some of the newest receivers feature MirrorLink connectivity, where everything that appears on your smartphone interface also appears on the receiver’s touchscreen.

Just about all the receivers we offer have Bluetooth, for hands-free calling as well as audio streaming. Some even have the ability to display text messages on screen, and some, when used with compatible phones, feature Siri Eyes Free so you can make calls, hear text messages, and get directions using voice commands. Many receivers have the ability to receive HD radio. HD is a high quality digital signal that provides clear sound without static and hiss. With HD you can receive more stations, and get song titles and artist information without needing a subscription.

Many of our receivers can play DVDs on their large touchscreen displays. Although most are double DIN, there are also single DIN units with detachable or flip up monitors, some as large as 13”. Of course, these screens are great for entertaining the kids with a movie, but many of the receivers we carry have an input for a rear view camera, so the screen will display what’s behind you when backing up. We also offer receivers equipped with navigation, which is updatable via smartphone. These can display detailed maps and turn by turn directions on the screen.

Large touchscreens are also easier to read when driving, and more information can be displayed on the screen than on a typical receiver. For example, when coupled with Bluetooth you can see caller ID, and if you have HD or satellite radio, you can see station lists with the type of broadcast they offer. Some units can broadcast Pandora internet radio via Bluetooth connection with your smartphone, and you can then bookmark songs and switch between your personalized radio stations using the touchscreen. All the features of the receiver can be displayed on the touchscreen, so you can select navigation, CD player, radio, etc.

Very good price. Radio arrived sooner than expected. I bought it as a gift for my dad and he is very pleased. CARiD is the place to get all of your auto needs.
