The Audi A4 got some revised styling and performance updates for the 2013 model year. With a few exterior changes made to the eighth-generation A4, the vehicle became more dynamic and distinct. Audi designers have emphasized the horizontal lines up front and added new fog- and headlight fixtures, along with larger air intakes. The refreshed vehicle also got modified front and rear bumpers, grille, new hood design, and enhanced headlights and LED daytime running lights. The vehicle's interior, in its turn, has received several noticeable changes such as optimized audio controls, firmer leather upholstery, and chrome accents to add to the luxurious feel of the cabin.
For the 2013 A4, Audi Connect system became available as standard option that ensured reliable connectivity and access to the Web information. Google Voice Local Search offers Google search functionality via voice recognition, travel information, real-time fuel prices, news, weather forecast, and a Wi-Fi connection for up to eight wireless enabled devices. The MMI navigation system now gets just four buttons instead of the previously disorienting eight, and all climate control settings are no longer controlled from the interface.
Standard for the 2013 A4, the 2.0-liter 211-hp turbo engine can be mated to either a 6-speed manual or 8-speed automatic gearbox. The highest-performance A4 models come standard with the 3.0-liter supercharged V-6 engine delivering 333 hp. The redesigned 2013 Audi A4 became available in summer 2012.
