3" Cowl Style Functional Heat Extraction Cooling Hood (FM05AHT4FHW) by Amerihood®. Functional heat extraction cowl hood is a perfect replacement for the ordinary factory hood. Vented at end of the hood to help accelerate hot air escape from the engine bay. Amerihood utilized factory hinges and striker for easier installation, smooth gel coat finish on top and underside for easy prep and shorten work time for that perfect finish. Installation typically requires sanding, trimming, and filling prior to painting, thus, professional installation is recommended.

Amerihood warrants to the original purchaser that their products will be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of (90) days from the date of purchase. Please keep the original packaging for at least (90) days.

This warranty does not include painting and Amerihood does not warrant for product damage caused by abuse, misuse, shipping, accident, normal wear, incorrect installation by a non-qualified individual, incorrect modification or adjustment, dirt, contaminants or corrosion. Minor scuffs or non-consequential surface blemishes may be present as a result of the post-curing, manufacturing, shipping and handling process cannot be considered as defective.

All warranty claims must be accompanied by a dated, legitimate proof of purchase from Amerihood or one of its authorized dealers. Warranty claims for Amerihood merchandise purchased from an Amerihood dealer or distributor must be submitted to that dealer or distributor in accordance to their policies and procedures. It will be up to Amerihood to replace, credit or repair said defective part.

My New Hood!

Hello, sorry but Im still fitting the hood and then is going into the body shop as I'm writing this. The hood was shipped with very little damage which was nice, and it looked great! One thought came to mine, and that was the wire mess in the top scoops, and how to remove them if they turn into something not very good looking? Any ideas? Another one was the stock heat pad under the hood? Do you use one with the new hood, or is the hood ok with the heat in the summer months? Well, I guess we'll see! 08 Mustang 3" Cowl Hood

Looks good and fits well, but about the delivery is iffy though. You order your product. Then you watched to see if your product is being processed. Then, then when it's being delivered you have to call the delivery service and set up a scheduled time for delivery because you have to be there to inspect the product. I did so and on the date he was supposed to come in we schedule for a certain time. There was no phone call until after it was at the address. So we were not at home when they arrived when we set an appointment time to give us enough time to get there to inspect it. So give specific information to help you receive your product. But the products are awesome. Just get on top of that delivery process and everything will be alright. God bless and enjoy your products.

I love my new SMS Amerihood it was easy to install. It was easy to put in the windshield wiper sprayers I wanted to make my Mustang V6 look like a V8 and I have truly achieved it by putting this hood on it makes all the V8 Mustang drivers look twice when I go by them, so thank you again, CARiD.

Thanks for the Amerihood you guys sent me, i love it it has a feature that thought it was for looks but the intake port are functional, they aligned perfectly with my air intake and overall the installation was easy, only took me 20 minutes.

My dad has heard horror stories of fiber glass hoods. However, this hood is made fairly decently. When fitting it my dad is just going to have to drill out the holes a bit to sift the hood otherwise a great fit. Not much work involved besides the obvious. It’s a good make and a decent product at a great price.

SBY Style Hood (gtH/Terlingua Style)

A great hood that is worth it, I was skeptical at first not knowing to much about Amerihood. But after research I ended up getting it and I didn't regret it. This is a great quality hood and fit almost perfect. I highly recommend this hood to anyone. CARiD took a entire week to ship my hood which was the only complaint I had which was not good for me. But the hood is awesome.
