If you’re single, work in an office, and live where it’s warm and sunny most of the time, an ordinary set of floor mats will probably keep your vehicle’s carpet clean. But if you have a family, work outside, and live with ice and snow you need more protection – the kind of protection you can get with our all-weather floor mats and floor liners. We have custom fit protection in your choice of vinyl, rubber or carpet; some available with custom logos.

With kids it’s a matter of when, not if, a drink will be spilled, an ice cream cone dropped, or a piece of candy left to melt on the floor of your vehicle. And if you work outside and drive through harsh winters, you regularly track dirt, mud, snow, and road salt inside your car or truck. Under these conditions, without protection, your vehicle’s carpet can quickly become a soggy morass of dirt and decomposing food.

We offer both universal and custom fit floor mats and liners. Universal mats are budget friendly, while custom fit mats and liners provides the most complete protection. Custom fit mats and liners are designed to conform to the floor pan on your specific vehicle, for the best fit and appearance, and thorough coverage. Our manufacturers use sophisticated measuring equipment to ensure that each mat and liner hugs every contour.

Floor mats are usually flat and have channels to contain dirt and liquid. They’re fine for lighter use but don’t expect them to contain a spilled large soda or the snow bank that just fell off your boots. For that you need floor liners. Floor liners have a raised perimeter that extends up the walls of the footwell and acts as a shallow pan to ensure no liquid runs over onto your carpet. They also have internal ridges to keep your feet above the muck.

While most of our all-weather mats are constructed from tough rubber or vinyl, if you prefer the look and feel of carpet you can still get maximum protection for your factory carpet against crud and spills. We offer mats with soft, stain resistant carpet material attached to a tough, virtually impenetrable backing that is custom molded to conform perfectly to your vehicle’s floor. All of our all-weather mats and liners, no matter what they’re made of, are super easy to clean. When they get dirty just remove them from the vehicle, rinse them off with a garden hose and let them dry. Reinstall and you’re good to go.

Cargo Liner Material | Is Vinyl Always Better Than Carpet?
The cargo-carrying area of your car or truck deserves as much protection as the passenger floor area. To that end, there are a great number of cargo liners available for most vehicles, in your choice of material and color. They provide a number of advantages: they protect the factory material, provide an additional barrier when carrying items, and can coordinate with an existing set of floor mats.

Floor Mat, Floor Liner, and Cargo Mat Glossary
At CARiD, we understand it can be challenging to choose between styles of floor mats and floor liners, decide if you need a cargo liner, and figure out whether carpeting, vinyl, or rubber construction is best for you. In the Car & Truck Floor Mats section of our website, we offer many choices - each one with its own product description reflecting different descriptive terms and expressions used by the mat manufacturers. Because such terms can vary from manufacturer to manufacturer, we've created this glossary to help you make a more informed choice.

What Are Differences Between Floor Mats And Floor Liners?
Have you taken a close look at the existing floor mats in your vehicle lately? Odds are if they came as standard equipment, they’ve become more worn, stained, and full of ground-in dirt than you think. Factory floor mats typically consist of a thin layer of lightweight carpeting bonded to a thin layer of polymer type material that blocks water from getting through. Not a great formula for protection, and not the type of construction that is guaranteed to last the length of time you own your vehicle.

What Makes a Good Floor Liner?
Floor liners are perhaps the most useful and time and money saving accessories you can buy for your vehicle. They make it easier to keep your vehicle clean, and they actually pay for themselves by keeping the original vehicle floor in as-new condition. Molded liners cover both the floor and a couple of inches of the walls of the foot wells, leaving no crevices where dirt and moisture can be trapped.
