2010 Mazda 3 Automotive Lighting Reviews

They look great, don't get me wrong, but there were some issues. First of all, when they arrived, the driver's side light had 2 of the mounting tabs busted off and laying in the bottom of the box. Incidently, this didn't end up mattering because when I installed it, something the way the light was made was way off, and the tabs that were broken off did not reach the mounting holes required to use them, so I guess no harm no foul for them being broken. Second, the driver's side lens had had a bunch of debris stuck to the inside of it, which was a real chore trying to clean out. Third, the plastic that the mounting tabs and rear structure of the lights is very very cheap and not good quality at all. One of the mounting points for the passenger's side light broke apart when I started threading the bolt in (no I didn't overtighten it, it happened almost immediately). These are marketed as Spyder brand lights, however I can't find the Spyder name or logo anywhere on the packaging or lights themselves. I have a set of Spyder lights for my truck, and trust me, the build quality is a lot better, they came with brand name paperwork and markings on the lights, and the plastic they were made out of wasn't the sort of thing you'd find on a dollar store toy. What I did find on these lights were a lot of Chinese words and random numbers. So my unprofessional assessment is that the lights I got are not Spyder brand, but rather a cheap knock-off, which is a shame because I paid Spyder brand money. All and all none of this was a big deal, and I didn't feel like going the the hassle of returns and finding another set. Future buyers beware.
